Cacophony

This blog entry is not going to be cacophonous. That's actually kind of impossible really. Especially since you can't listen to a blog. I just really like the word "cacophony."

cacophony - noun
a harsh, discordant mixture of sounds

Although, you can use the word figuratively; so, a blog entry could potentially be cacophonous. But mine probably won't. I don't have that many different writing styles.

Today I heard a cacophony. I was walking around the EvCC campus, listening to Tegan and Sara (which can be an enjoyable cacophony in itself), and I walked by a very loud lawnmower. And it was windy - noisy windy. It was a fascinating sound, all those noises together. Sometimes I think that music is so much more than just chords and progressions and words and notes and rhythms. It's the sounds all around us. The sound of people and nature and life.
