I suppose I've been avoiding this blog entry because the Doctor and I share similar feelings about endings. Endings mean change. Sometimes loss.
But they also can lead to new and exciting experiences. It is only fitting that I write this as I sit in Sea-Tac Airport waiting for my flight to Las Vegas for the 2014 American Library Association Annual Conference. Exploring a new city, attending my first national conference, meeting librarians from all over the country.
Today I received my official "you graduated" email. So that's the end of grad school (for now). I still can't really believe that I survived these last two years. I can't believe that I'm actually here--in June 2014. And I have a Master's degree. Twenty-two years old. Everything feels very surreal.
And now for the final major ending: this will be my final blog post for She must assemble.
There are many factors behind this decision: I haven't been using the blog; writing blog posts is time consuming; it's not convenient for quick personal and professional social networking; etc. But most importantly, I feel like I have disconnected from this blog. I have reached a period of my life that no longer fits within what this blog encompasses.
I started this blog in 2010--my senior year of high school. I used it for emotional release, creative writing, and book blogging. Since then, She must assemble. has been many things: book blog, personal diary, poetry and creative writing blog, and even a mental health awareness blog. I've shared much of my personal journey over the last four years. Many of the books I've read. Thoughts I've had and places I've gone.
In order to celebrate this ending, I have compiled a list of highlights from the last four years--some of the best and the worst. Enjoy!
- First post: Today is tomorrow... or yesterday
- Jane Eyre and personal rambles: As hard for you to leave me
- Recap of my summer as a camp counselor: My summer as Superman's girlfriend

Thank you for reading and thank you for all your wonderful thoughts and prayers. Cliché as it is, I wouldn't be here without you.
