There is an interesting phenomenon that occurs on the University of Washington Seattle campus: spring snowflakes. The trees in the Quad burst in a flush of cherry blossoms. And then the spring rain showers and brisk April winds blow through the trees--shaking and blowing and swirling. The blossoms fall and create a spring snow fall. Soon, the entire Quad is covered with the individualized and fragile petals. A beautiful spring storm--pink and lovely.

I love the quad!
