When I was in elementary school, my favorite color was red. Throughout middle school and some of high school, my favorite color was green. And it showed. At one point, I had enough green shirts to wear one every single day of the week. I painted my room green. Everything was green. Around junior/senior year, I started accepting red back into my life. But this left me with a problem. I loathed red and green together, unless it was Christmas time.
So I made my room green and my bathroom red and white. I kept red items distant from green items and I never ever wore the colors together.
Lately, my obsessive hate of red and green together has calmed down exceedingly. I have even been noticing that red and green have been appearing together throughout my life. Even this blog is red and green, with the pomegranate in the background. Maybe that's how it all started... with pomegranates - red fruit, green leaves. And I've always loved red roses. Also red and green
Anyway, I thought I would document various occurrences of red and green, peacefully coming together and coexisting.
