Gardening, strawberry picking, jam making, thrift stores, sunshine. A perfect summer sort of day. Even accomplished a few activities off of my l'été simple to-do list.
After church, there was gardening and salvaging my rose. My petit jardin behind my bedroom was in a quite a state when I started:
But after taking out all the weeds and the two large, overbearing plants, I was left with my rose--still barely living--and some hens and chicks. I think I may fill in the rest of the soil with more hens and chicks. Hoping my rose will survive and flourish once again.
Also went strawberry picking at Biringer Farms. We picked a lovely flat of the gorgeous red berries and then made freezer jam.
