The Three R's

There are various sets of "three r's" :

• Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (always a good idea)
• Reading, wRiting, aRithmetic (this always bothered me since it's the foundation of education and apparently they can't really spell...)
• Replace, Reduce, Refine (these are the guidelines for the use of animals in research)
• Rest, Relax, Rejuvenation (a bit lazy, but I suppose if it's necessary)

And of course there are others. I wonder if there are more usable words that start with "r." Why don't they use a more interesting and less overused letter? Like q. Or j.

Now that I have slightly criticised the use of "three r's," I'm going to share my own "three r's."
