multiple dogs dance
my dearest darling
many dragons delve
maroon doctors divide
malevolent disorderly diamonds
mice daren't die
marry Dostoevsky in December
machines don't dawdle
magma deliberates delicately
But no
I happened to glance at my paperwork after seeing the psychiatrist yesterday. I rarely actually look at said paperwork because it's the same every time. But this time I did. My eyes were drawn to the bold letters:
MDD major depressive disorder (recurrent episode)
Something about seeing that on paper. A little too factual. A little too much of a life sentence. A little disheartening.
No need to embrace the life-sentence. You are more than the letters that try to define you.
ReplyDeleteAlso, "marry Dostoevsky in December" or "merry Dostoevsky in December"? I can't tell which would make me giggle more.
Not a life sentence - you are overcoming this every day! Depression does not define you; it is an aspect of your life that you are living with today.
ReplyDeleteMaroon Doctors Dive makes me think of David Tennant in a purple suit....and then his regeneration...
