MDD

multiple dogs dance
my dearest darling
many dragons delve
maroon doctors divide
malevolent disorderly diamonds
mice daren't die
marry Dostoevsky in December
machines don't dawdle
magma deliberates delicately

But no

I happened to glance at my paperwork after seeing the psychiatrist yesterday. I rarely actually look at said paperwork because it's the same every time. But this time I did. My eyes were drawn to the bold letters:

MDD major depressive disorder (recurrent episode)

Something about seeing that on paper. A little too factual. A little too much of a life sentence. A little disheartening.

  1. No need to embrace the life-sentence. You are more than the letters that try to define you.

Also, "marry Dostoevsky in December" or "merry Dostoevsky in December"? I can't tell which would make me giggle more.

  2. Not a life sentence - you are overcoming this every day! Depression does not define you; it is an aspect of your life that you are living with today.

Maroon Doctors Dive makes me think of David Tennant in a purple suit....and then his regeneration...
