Satellite heart

I had a moment today. Sometimes when I'm walking around, listening to music, I feel like the music isn't coming from my ipod. That it's background music to my story. They're overwhelming moments. I connect so deeply to the music that's playing and the lyrics, the notes, the melody, the rhythms.. they almost become physical entities. And for one second, a feeling of magnitude sweeps over me.

But walking amongst crowds of faces, nameless.. each with a story... a heart, a light, a thought, a pain, a soul. I turn my head in awe, blinded momentarily by the unexpected sunlight. Walking. Surrounded by buildings: some glorious, some an eyesore. The feeling of oneness, of significance fades.

Here was the song:

I'm a satellite heart.
