Conrad is taking over my head. And I think about him and his novella Heart of Darkness far too much. He is the last subject I want to write about in my spare time because I already spend hours writing/thinking about him during the week.
I like him. He's quite brilliant and his mastery of the English language is incredible, especially since it's his third language.
To make it up, I will post my paper about him. Once it's done. I think I have conquered Conrad though. I struggled nailing down what exactly about Heart of Darkness I wanted to write about. There's so much detail and brilliant descriptions. We've been close reading (different than just reading of course)... and there are so, so many dashes. Now they just stick out and I can't think about anything else.
Anyway, there's your Conrad.
