Lois and Charley's Survival Kit
In preparation for the move next weekend, I've taken a week off for packing, relaxing, and spending time with friends. My friend Charley and I created a list of spontaneous and random activities for the week, one of which included making a survival kit. Here is our final product:

| The contents |
- Tazo Zen tea bag - because tea solves all problems (and Tazo Zen, in particular, is rather calming)
- A book - in case you need something to read
- Paperclip - good for paper-clipping and also works as a bobby-pin in a pinch; can be unfolded for other uses
- Pencil and sticky notes - when you need to leave a note or write something down for later; cure for boredom
- Bobby pin - good for controlling unmanageable curly hair; also picking locks
- Safety pin - refastening a bra strap when it snaps, keeping cardigans on your shoulder when they slip off (attach to shirt or bra--not skin--just to be clear), any other clothing emergencies
- Piece of gum - for fresh breath
- Allergy pill - obvious
- Quarter - emergency bus money or m&m's in a store candy dispenser
- Clothes pin - for fidgeting or spontaneous laundry
- Jamba Juice school appreciation card - if you find yourself at Jamba Juice, use this card and "Jamba will donate 12% of purchase to PTA (10% donated to your local PTA and 2% donated to National PTA)."
- Ring - for emergency proposals
- Heart token - all you need is love
- Binder clip - for clipping binders; also the small and rather cute size of the binder clip is good for a smile
- Sand dollar - Atlantis currency (you never know when you might discover the lost underwater city)
I keep seeing the "I like you because you join in on my weirdness" sign and think of you... not because you join in my weirdness, but because WE are perfectly normal - everyone else is weird! =P
