A blessed summer

I wish I had the time to recount all of the adventures I've had this summer. Working at camp has been the most amazing experience. Everyday I learn something new and I have so many incredible new friendships. God is so good. The trip to Mexico and IYC was also life-changing.

But I only have time to update this blog when I'm at home, and then I'm always running. For now, all I have to offer is what I've written over the last month or so.

Lovely Cacophony

Floating up
A sound indecipherable
To the Roman star
Hoveringly protectively
He absorbs the waves
Our psalms in two
This lovely cacophony
Of people in love
Two brought together
By One

Vibrations

Floating lights but
Noiseless chatter dims
Melodic words fade
Music disappears
Pulse
Pulse pulse
Pulse

Pulse

Closed lids
Pulse pulse

Vibrating my soul
Rib cage rattle
Travel through bone

Pulse
Pulse

Pulse pulse pulse

Me and bass

Monserrat

New sensations of
A glance then fall
Deepest love felt
One single moment
My look

Every heart string
Pulled in by breaths
Slight for rest
Dark lashes flutter
Her face

Clutched to chest
Tears for this life
Unknown now apart
Move together meld
Our heart

Separated now ever
Remember by a touch
A hold intense
New love overflows
The change

The Child and the Alien

A child he resides
In my heart
The innocence
My little boy
Who still believes in cooties

Kissing is icky
But I'll hold your hand
If you share your crayons
Isn't love for girls?

Wait.

There's something amiss
This lack of love
Or is it lust
An alien
Who falls for personalities
